Safe Product Handling
Responsible handling of agricultural chemicals helps protect people, animals, crops, and the environment.
Read the Label First
Before opening or using a product, read its full label. Check the hazards, required protective equipment, mixing and application instructions, first-aid guidance, and disposal directions.
Use Appropriate Protection
Wear all protective equipment specified on the product label. Depending on the product, this may include chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, boots, or respiratory protection.
Keep Products Secure
Store products in their original labelled containers, securely closed, in a suitable locked and ventilated storage area as directed by the label. Keep them away from children, animals, food, animal feed, and drinking water.
Avoid Contamination
Prevent products and rinsate from entering drains, wells, streams, or other water sources. Never reuse chemical containers for food or water. Follow the label and local requirements for cleaning equipment and disposal.
Spills and Exposure
Follow the product label and safety instructions for spills or accidental exposure. If exposure occurs, seek appropriate medical or poison-information assistance promptly and provide the product label or container information. Do not attempt unsafe cleanup.
